Napoli City Half Marathon 2025 terms and conditions

N.B. This regulation may undergo changes in compliance with state legislation and federal (FIDAL) in force at the time of the event.

ASD Napoli Running, under the patronage of the City of Naples, organizes the 11th edition of the Naples City Half Marathon, a race covering a distance of 21.097 km and included in the WA, AIMS and FIDAL calendars:

The race will be held in Naples on Sunday, February 23, 2025, meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the Mostra d’Oltremare expo center and starting at 9:00 a.m. from Viale J. F. Kennedy.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ATHLETES REGISTERED IN ITALY

In accordance with the “Rules for the Organization of Events” issued by FIDAL, participation is limited only to athletes registered in Italy, aged 18 years and over, who are in possession of one of the following requirements:

  • Athletes registered for 2025 to companies affiliated with FIDAL;
  • Athletes in possession of a ‘Runcard’ (valid as sports insurance and permit to compete) and limited to those aged 20 years or over and regular medical certification for athletics;
  • Athletes registered for a Sports Promotion Organization (Athletic Section) and in possession of a ‘Runcard-EPS’ and limited to those aged 20 years or over and regular medical certification for athletics;
  • Fitwalkers owning a Fidal or Runcard FIDAL must own a medical certificate for a Athletics discipline. If they don’t own documents mentioned above, they can only participate in the non-competitive relay race;
  • Athletes registered for 2025 with Societies affiliated with one of the following Paralympic Sports Federations recognized by the CIP (Italian Paralympic Committee): FISPES (Italian Federation of Paralympic and Experimental Sports), FISDIR (Italian Federation of Intellectual and Relational Disability Sports). In this case, athletes must present a copy of their valid membership (2025), or declaration of membership on club letterhead with stamp and signature of the president. To safeguard their own and others’ safety, athletes with or without disabilities who will be racing with the help of or pushing mechanical means (strollers, etc.) and fit walkers will start from the last grid. There are no athletes running with hand bikes. Pusher subjects must have a membership. A maximum of 20 pushers will be present.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ATHLETES NOT REGISTERED IN ITALY

Athletes of non-Italian nationality may participate. They must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Have turned 18 years of age and be registered for 2025 with Foreign Athletics Federations, affiliated with World Athletics; in this case they must send a self-certification of membership at the time of registration to info@napolirunning.com or deliver the document and sign it at the time of bib collection.
  • Have reached the age of 20 and be in possession of the FIDAL RUNCARD combined with the medical certificate that can be issued in their own country, but they must have been carried out the same tests required by Italian legislation.

The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued in their own country, using the facsimile available at www.napolirunning.com and www.runcard.com.

FOREIGN ATHLETES WITH TOURIST-SPORTS PURPOSES

Non-registered foreign athletes can participate in the non-competitive event, without sending of the medical certificate, with exclusion from the official ranking and the expected awards. This type of participation exclusively requires the compilation of the liability waiver form to be sent together with an identity document to the address info@napolirunning.com.

REGULARIZING YOUR REGISTRATION

Athletes with an IRREGULAR REGISTRATION will have to regularize their standing before retrieving their number bib (valid membership and certificate) updating the FIDAL portal (either directly or through the president of the company to which they belong). In the case that an athlete is suspended due to an expired medical certificate, presentation of the original will not be deemed valid as an authorization to compete.

Any athlete failing to regularize his or her registration will not be allowed to retrieve the number bib and chip, only the race pack.

Athletes competing with a Runcard but suspended due to an expired medical certificate will be able to mend their standing by bringing with them a copy of a medical certificate for competitive athletics.

Napoli City Half Marathon- XI edition

  • 30 € until 1000° registered
  • 35 € from 1001° to 3000° registered
  • 40 € from 3001° to 5000°
  • 45 € over the 5000° registered
  • 50 € at the Expo
    * Endu portal rights are excluded.

RELAY (for two people)

  • 60 € until the 100° registered team
  • 70 € from the 101° registered team
  • 80 € at the Expo

GROUP OF 10 PEOPLE PROMOTION

The cumulative registration with a single payment for a group of 10 people, even if they belong to different companies and participants in both the Napoli City Half Marathon and the Relay, will allow you to have a free bib, therefore nine bibs will be paid according to the current rate while the tenth bib will be free. Any promotions or discounts relating to the purchase of bibs will be published on the site www.napolirunning.com.

THE REGISTRATION FEE COVERS THE FOLLOWING

  • Adidas running T-shirt (pick up exclusively at the expo);
  • Bib (pick up exclusively at the expo);
  • insurance coverage during the event;
  • technical and medical assistance;
  • official race pack of the event (pick up exclusively at the expo);
  • refreshments along the route;
  • final refreshment bag;
  • official program and information materials;
  • chip service and timing;
  • route homologation;
  • online diploma;
  • pacemakers service: 1:24/1:30/1:40/1:45/1:50/2:00/2:10/2:30participation
  • medal (for classified athletes);
  • participation medal (for classified athletes);
  • men’s and women’s changing room
  • bag deposit service (N.B. It is allowed to deposit only small backpacks with post-race change.  Suitcases, bags and trolleys will in no way be accepted).

*It is specified that the services included in the registration fee as specified above may be subject to limitations in compliance with the National, Local and / or Federal legislation in force on the date of the event.

The organizer reserves the right to vary the cost of registering for the event if additional services are added at its discretion or in compliance with Federal, National or Local regulations.

CLOSURE OF REGISTRATIONS

Online registrations will close on 19 February 2025, or before reaching the maximum race capacity.

NUMBER BIB PICK-UP

The number bib can be picked up at the stands located within the Mostra d’Oltremare expo center on Friday 21 February from 15:00 to 20.00, Saturday 22 February from 09:00 to 20:00.

It is not allowed to collect bibs on Sunday 23 February.

In line with the provisions of the latest circular of the state police for the organization of public events, the collection of bibs must be carried out personally by each individual registered athlete, upon presentation of an identification document; for reasons of public order, it will therefore not be allowed to collect several bibs by the same athlete.

Except:

  • Any given athlete will be allowed to pick up at most one number bib in addition to his or her own by downloading the “single proxy” form from www.napolirunning.com.
  • The Presidents of the companies must download and fill in the “company proxy” form from the website www.napolirunning.com.

Pick-up for companies is only on Friday by appointment. Write to deleghe@napolirunning.com

STARTING GRIDS

At the start, the competitors will be divided into six grids (A, B, C, D, E, H). The bib numbers will be assigned based on the best time (personal best) declared during the registration phase on the distance of the half marathon achieved in the last 24 months. Failure to report said time, or reporting an incorrect or false time, will result in the runner starting from the last grid.  It will not be possible to request a grid following registration.  It is not allowed to enter a different grid from the one given; any runner doing so will be liable to disqualification. Access to the grids will be manned by the competition judges and closed at 8:45 am.  The number and composition of the grids may be changed at the discretion of the organizer or in any case in compliance with the directives of the relevant authorities.

RACE PACK

By showing the bib, the athlete will be able to pick up the race packet and what is included in the registration fee by turning to the appropriate booth exclusively inside the Expo. No shipping will be provided.

CHANGING ROOMS AND STORAGE

Men and women indoor dressing rooms equipped with storage areas will be set up in the immediate vicinity of the start and finish area. Entry is granted only upon display of the number bib. The organization is in no way responsible for objects left inside the stored bags.

REFRESHMENT POINTS

Refreshments will be provided at the start and finish, as well as along the course (5km, 10km, 15km), in accordance with FIDAL regulations. Upon arrival, the final refreshment will be set up with water, iso drink, bar and fruit.

TIME LIMIT

The Napoli City Half Marathon will have a time limit of 3 hours. There will be 1 gate:

• Km 10: for those who don’t reach it at 10.30 am (9min/km)

Any runner exceeding said time limit will be required to withdraw from the competition and to remove the bib number. If the athlete decides to continue anyway, he or she will do so outside of the competition and at his/her own risk and danger, relieving the organization of any kind of responsibility. Under no circumstances will the athlete be classified.

THE TIMEKEEPING CHIP

Your time will be recorded by means of an electronic chip which allows to also record the partial and the official times. The chip is for personal use and cannot be exchanged. Any runner who will have failed to transit any given checkpoint will be disqualified. Under penalty of exclusion from the rankings, the chip placed on the bib number must not be removed for any reason.

TIMING AND RANKINGS

The measurement of times and the processing of rankings are validated by the Delegated Judge Technician/Appellate Judge and published on the website of the event and of the company selected timing. Each athlete’s time will be recorded electronically from their crossing of the starting line to start of the race, upon arrival with passage on the Finish line and with partial times at 10km. The final rankings, with the exclusion of elite athletes and for the positions that will give right to the prize in money, will be processed according to real time (transition time from the starting carpet to the arrival carpet). For the purposes of applying the GUN TIME, athletes who in the last two years are considered elite have the following crediting times:

Men: half time under 1h08m00s- 10,000m, 10km under 31 minutes

Women: half time under 1h22m00s, 10,000m, 10km under 37 minutes

PRIZES FOR INDIVIDUALS

ALL prizes in euros will be paid out by April 30, 2025 in accordance with the applicable FIDAL regulations.

No cash prizes (or similar prizes such as generic goodwill, bonuses, or any kind of reimbursement) may be provided to holders of a Runcard or Runcard EPS (as per FIDAL regulations). In such cases, in lieu of cash prizes or the like, athletes will receive prizes in sports goods, foodstuff or crafts. A cash prize will not be paid.

Athletes receiving prizes will have to fill out a form before the March 31 2025 indicating, in addition to their personal data, the details of a valid identification document. The form can be downloaded at www.napolirunning.com

PRIZES FOR COMPANIES

Only companies ranked in the top 5 of the relevant ranking will be rewarded minimum 40 athletes regularly arriving with points ranking, so-called sliding scale, carried out based on the number of athletes who validly cross the finish line, receiving:

  • The first company 1000 €
  • The second company 750 €
  • The third company 500 €
  • The fourth company 400 €
  • The fifth company 300 €

All participating companies affiliated with FIDAL will compete in the ranking. In case of a tie, the corresponding prizes will be added and subdivided among the entitled parties.

The awards to the companies will be paid by April 30, 2025

The companies to be awarded must fill in a specific form by and no later than 31 March 2025 indicating, in addition to the personal data, the details of an identification document. The form can be downloaded from the website www.napolirunning.com.

PRIZES FOR NON-CAMPANE FIDAL AFFILIATED COMPANIES

In this special ranking, only non-Campanian clubs classified in the first 3 places will be rewarded with at least 25 athletes regularly classified with a points ranking, so-called sliding scale, based on the number of athletes who validly cross the finish line, receiving:
• The first company €300
• The second company €200
• The third company €100
These sums can be cumulated with the prizes provided for FIDAL affiliated companies as per the previous point of the regulation.

CATEGORY PRIZES

They will be rewarded, based on real time, with sports, food or craft prizes, the first 3 classified in the following Male Master Categories: SM35, SM40, SM45, SM50, SM55, SM60, SM65, SM70, SM75, SM80 and beyond.

The first 3 classified of the following Female Master Categories will be awarded, with prizes in
a sporting, food or craft nature: SF35, SF40, SF45, SF50, SF55, SF60, SF65, SF70, SF75, SF80 and beyond.

The prizes must be collected up to 1 hour from the end of the race. Failure to do so will void one’s right to the prize.

RACE CANCELLATION

If the tender is cancelled, moved to another date and / or, in any case, not carried out for reasons not dependent on and / or not related to the will of the Organization, including the revocation of the authorization to carry it out by the competent Public Bodies, the registered will have nothing to claim from the ASD Napoli Running not even by way of reimbursement of expenses incurred, considering the signing of the registration application also as a waiver of any claim for compensation for damage and / or compensation and / or any claim to reintegrate and / or satisfy any financial damage suffered and undergoing. In the event of cancellation and / or postponement of the race, the registration made may be used for the new established date or may be used for the race to be held the following year.

NUMBER BIB TRANSFER

It will be possible to transfer one’s number bib to another runner:

  • By January 31st, 2025, at no charge
    Between February 1st and February 19th 2025, upon payment of a €5 processing fee.
  • No transfer will be allowed beyond 19 February 2025.
INABILITY TO PARTICIPATE

Enrollment is not deferrable, transferable or refundable, however, you may purchase a specific insurance product for those who are forced to forgo participation due to illness, injury, accident during travel or other unforeseen causes. If compensation is awarded, the reimbursement covers the registration fee, service fees and any other services purchased (excluding the cost of the insurance policy) that you will not be able to use due to the absence. The service is offered in collaboration with TDS and an insurance partner.

DATA PROCESSING

Pursuant to EU Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR) we inform participants of the following:

  • the data contained in the registration form is required for registration, to prepare the list of participants, the rankings, the archive, to carry out the services declared in the rules and for the sending of communications.
  • not providing the mentioned data or information will disqualify you from participating in the event.

IMAGE COPYRIGHT

By registering for the Napoli City Half Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the Naples Running organization to have the right to use any still or moving image in which he or she may appear when taking part in the race for all visual media, as well as promotional and/or advertising materials, produced and distributed throughout the world and for as long as is permitted by law, regulations, and treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the allowed period of time.

ATHLETES RESPONSIBILITIES

The runner is responsible for the ownership and custody of his race bib, whose exhibition guarantees the right to use all the services mentioned in this regulation and subsequently communicated.

a) Anyone who, without regular registration, participates without a bib, in addition to being held responsible for damage to persons or property, including himself, will incur sports sanctions under the jurisdiction of the federal bodies and may be liable to the penal sanctions provided for the crime of ” theft “(art. 624. Criminal Code).

b) Anyone who, without regular registration, participates with a counterfeit bib or in any case not compliant with the assignment, or with a bib of another, in addition to being responsible as indicated above, will incur sports sanctions and, moreover, may be subject to the penalties provided for for the crime of “theft” (art. 624. Criminal Code), or, alternatively, for the crime of fraud (art. 640 Criminal Code).

In cases a) and b) the participants may be subject to the penalties provided for the crime of “non- compliance with the provisions of the Authorities” (art. 650 of the criminal code). The aforementioned cases will be found upon verification of photographic and / or video documentation.

DISCLAIMER

The registered athlete declares to have read the rules of the race and to accept its content in full. Declares therefore to assume, apart from what is already covered by the insurance policy, all risks arising from participation in the event, such as, by way of example, those resulting from any falls or contact with authorized vehicles and / or with other participants, spectators or otherwise, damage resulting from adverse weather conditions, and any other type of risk, even if not expressly mentioned.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

For the duration of the event there will be a medical assistance service, in the start/finish area and on the course with mobile first aid with on board defibrillator.

FINAL WARNINGS

The event will take place regardless of the weather conditions and, in any case, at the discretion of the organization.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify these rules at any time due to emerging needs and/or reasons that it deems appropriate for a better organization of the race. Any changes will be, in any case, agreed upon by the Campania CR and the National FIDAL. For any and all matters not covered by these rules, FIDAL’s statutory technical regulations will apply. Any changes to services, locations and/or times will be communicated via the website www.napolirunning.com

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints must be submitted, in compliance with the FIDAL and R.T.I. rules, within 30 minutes of the official rankings, accompanied by a fee of 100 EURO which will be returned in the event of acceptance of the complaint. For any unforeseen aspects, refer to the FIDAL rules.

JURISDICTION

The Naples Bureau has jurisdiction for any disputes arising in regard to the application and interpretation of these rules.
UPON REGISTRATION ALL ATHLETES ARE CONSIDERED TO BE AWARE OF WHAT PROVIDED IN THE REGULATION, THE SAME MAY BE MODIFIED AND/OR INTEGRATED INTO COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS IN FORCE ON THE DATE OF THE EVENT. FOR ANYTHING NOT PROVIDED IN THIS REGULATION, WE WILL COMPLY WITH THE FIDAL REGULATIONS AND THE PROVISIONS IN FORCE AT THE CURRENT TIME OF THE EVENT.

OTHER NON-COMPETITIVE EVENTS

RELAY FOR TWO RUNNERS

At the Naples City Half Marathon there will be a non-competitive Relay for two runners. The two participants will cover a 10 km and a 11, 0975 km fraction respectively. The presentation of a certificate of sound and robust constitution is required.

This year, the relay race will be part of Napoli Running first charity program. Indeed, the bib of the relay race can be purchased only by the non-profit organization that are part of our charity program.
The goal of the relay race will be to highlight and support the projects of the non-profit organization. Therefore, we encourage all runners to be part of our relay race of solidarity.

FAMILY RUN & FRIENDS RULES

The non-competitive “Family Run & Friends ”, with a benefactory intent, 2 km event, which is without ranking and open to everyone, will start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The event is free for children under 10 years of age, whereas everyone else will incur a €5 registration fee in order to participate. The fee includes, for each participant, a T-shirt, a medal and a final refreshment.
